ROMO Productions is a woman-owned and operated small business that was established in 1997 and incorporated in 2001 as an alternative to offshore production of technical garments. Built upon the foundation of a family owned business, named Sunanta Inc., which was established in 1968 in Costa Mesa, CA. It contributed as benefactors and contractors to some of the largest surf-wear brand companies in the nation. Developing and producing the first surf board shorts and apparel which facilitated the rapid popularity and growth of the surf, skate and snowboard apparel industry.
As a domestic manufacturer of technically complex commercial apparel, Romo was sought out to bring its expertise and technical know how to the U.S Military apparel market in 2008. Romo has since expanded into manufacturing a broad range of commercial and military apparel items such as pants, jackets, shirts, shorts constructed of woven, knit and FR materials. Our in house product development team specializes in meeting the changing needs of both commercial and military customers; this has included improvements to current designs and development of new items. Additionally our production team specializes in integrating lean manufacturing techniques, with in line quality accountability at every step from inventory, production through final inspection at shipping. Our success in timeliness of deliveries and superior quality is built on our strong supplier relationships with industry leaders and an ability to team with these leaders in product development and product improvement. Romo Productions has developed a reputation for quality and timeliness of delivery.
Certifications and Proprietary Processes: Romo Productions is currently an 8a Certified, Economically Disadvantaged Woman Owned Small Business (EDWOSB) 8m, and a Minority Owned Small Business with less than 500 employees. Our small business size standard is based on primary NAICS code 315210, with A+ Contract Past Performance Ratings. Romo manufacturers its apparel products in Santa Ana, CA. Romo adheres to SA8000 standards and practices Six Sigma Lean manufacturing. Romo has produced hundreds of thousands of units for various branches of the U.S Military utilizing its self-developed, copy written and trademarked proprietary management systems and know-how that are unique yet congruent with ISO9001: 2008 Quality Management Systems.
Highlights: To date we have successfully produced with Zero returns, Zero Late deliveries and Zero Corrective Actions over 600k units for the USMC; over 300,000 physical training shorts for the U.S Navy; over 20,000 units of Special Fire Resistant military combat apparel including combat pants, flight suit pants, jackets, coveralls et al and thousands of other military and non-military/commercial apparel. Additionally, Romo has produced various items for major U.S domestic retail and commercial manufacturers utilizing the same quality and production management systems as utilized in our government and military programs.
